About Twin Solas Therapy
Understanding, Growth and Renewal
Lets Talk
Jeffrey G Charboneau
Registered Social Worker, RSW, MSW, BSc, BA
I’m a Registered Social Worker and founder of Twin Solas Therapy providing psychoterapy and counselling across Ontario
My journey into mental health began long before formal training. When my twin sister, Jessica, experienced a brain injury before our first birthday, my family learned to find meaning, connection and resilience through uncertainty. That early experience shaped my empathy and my belief that healing begins when we allow ourselves to be honest about where we are.
The discipline I learned from years of irish dance taught me that practice doesn’t make perfect-it makes you better. This perspective continues to guide my clinical work, growth comes through consistency, patience and courage.
Before entering clinical practice, I worked in the pharmaceutical sector and community neurorehabilitation, experiences that deepened my understanding of structure, ethics and human adptabilty
Through Twin Solas Therapy, I help clients navigate life’s complexities with compassion and authenticiy-guiding each person toward their own light of understanding and renewal.
Twin Solas Philosophy
At Twin Solas Therapy, our philosophy is rooted in what I call Change Therapy - the moment of recognizing your own change and focus for improved attunement, thus reaching the clarity to move forward. Change Therapy reflects the belief that growth is not about perfection, but about movement - about becoming aware of yourself differently and learning to adapt with compassion and purpose. It honours the process of self-understanding and the gradual shifts that lead to healing.
Importantly, Change Therapy does not require you to make choices or decisions on the spot. Sometimes we can't - and that's okay.
Change happens when we are ready, and that readiness is fully supported, respected, and held within the therapeutic process. This approach guides every aspect of the work we do at Twin Solas Therapy whether in individual, family, or in-home sessions. It is about recognizing that healing begins not in urgency, but in awareness, and that every small step forward is an act of courage toward clarity and renewal.
